Install & set up the Privace.ai extension
Chrome extensions distributed outside the Web Store load as "unpacked" — here's how, using the signed zip from your Download extension page.
Option A — Load unpacked (recommended)
- 1Download the extension zip from the Download extension page (sign-in required).
- 2Unzip privace-extension-vX.Y.Z.zip to a folder you'll keep around (e.g. ~/privace-extension).
- 3Open Chrome (or any Chromium browser) and go to chrome://extensions.
- 4Turn on Developer mode in the top-right corner.
- 5Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
- 6Pin the Privace.ai icon to your toolbar — it opens the right-drawer preview on any LLM tab.
Option B — Install straight from the .zip
- 1Download the extension zip and keep the file intact — do not unzip it.
- 2Open chrome://extensions and enable Developer mode.
- 3Drag the .zip file directly onto the extensions page.
- 4Confirm the install prompt — Chrome will unpack and load it automatically.
After install
- 1Open ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, Claude or Kimi — Privace.ai mirrors the input box into a right-hand drawer.
- 2Pick your org's active sector (Healthcare / Legal / Fintech) from the drawer.
- 3Type your query — entities are tagged and redacted live, before you hit send.
- 4Responses are automatically restored client-side using your encrypted original↔token map.
